The red label Yamaha acoustics are known in this part of Virginia as a "poor man's Martin" which is a real compliment to their acoustic qualities. This is a great sounding Yamaha, serial number 1366975, made in the early 1960's. The top has aged nicely.  It is all original. Cosmetically, it shows worm trails and some wear on the back particularly as it has been played.  The neck is straight, the frets are in great shape, and it is ready to play. The playing action is very good. If you have not played an older Yamaha acoustic, you will be pleasantly surprised with its rich acoustic qualities.
